Located at 1250 E Harvard Rd, Burbank, CA 91501, Castaway Restaurant, Bar & Special Events operates as a steakhouse serving Burbank in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Burbank is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Burbank is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had Jana as our server. She was so helpful and suggested all the right dishes. She’s been waiting here for 9 years so she REALLY knows her stuff. Her positive upbeat attitude and great suggestions and hospitality was the best I had at this restaurant and I’ve been here 4 times. The swordfish was hands down an incredible experience. I have had overcooked swordfish more often than not but this was close to perfection. My husbands short rib was killer though. The creamed truffle corn was so dreamy. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality despite the busy night with a wedding in the venue next door. And of course I always love the bread at the beginning of service. It was corn bread. And delectable. 11/10. +2 points because of Jana.

Castaway never disappoints. The panoramic city views are absolutely breathtaking, especially around sunset, and they make the entire dining experience feel even more special. The food was just as impressive, the steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Great service, amazing atmosphere, and incredible views all in one place. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a nice dinner, this is a restaurant that's well worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back!

The Castaway is truly one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in Los Angeles. First, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Without question, it’s one of the best restaurant views in all of LA. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, the scenery alone makes this place worth visiting. The food was top-notch and worth every penny. My steak was cooked perfectly—exactly as ordered—and paired beautifully with a fresh salad and the 50/50 mash, which was absolutely exquisite. Every bite reflected the quality and attention to detail that you expect from a high-end restaurant. As incredible as the food and atmosphere were, the true highlight of the evening was the service. Our server, Jonah, was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with. His recommendations were spot-on from start to finish. The cocktails were excellent and surprisingly reasonably priced, and his wine pairing recommendation for my steak elevated the entire meal. What started as a dinner outing ended feeling like an evening spent with a friend—dare I say, family. Jonah’s professionalism, personality, and attention to detail made the experience unforgett

We had a reservation for our 5 year anniversary and they seated us right away. They told us our server was one of the best they have but our experience was a bit different. She barely checked up on us and forgot our side order of asparagus. When I got my steak I asked for medium well. Now this might have been a mistake on my part but whenever I order medium well it is still a bit pink but I got a straight up hard well done burnt steak. & I only order medium well because restaurants typically tend to make it too rare if I ask for medium. It was also served cold. Anyway our server never came back to check up on us so we had to call the attention to one of the people who bring out the food about my steak. He honestly seemed a bit angry that we pointed out it was too well done and told me this is actually a PERFECT medium well steak but I can bring another one. Once they brought out a new one they brought me a smaller cut than the previous one I had but at least it was made to order rather than the previous one I was given. I understand they have to throw away the steak but doesn't mean I should get a smaller cut especially when I am paying over 200 dollars to dine here. Finally I brou

So here is my review about this place 1. Decoration 10/10 the decoration of this spaces is.Very nice, very modern, a lot of place. 2. Service 9/10 the service was good. Our waiter was very good, but the bartender wasn't very creative. I ask for something special and he gave me something in the menu. 3. Ambiance 10/10 this place has a lot of ambience. Excellent for birthdays. Dates celebrating events and amazing view of the city of los angeles. 4. Food 8/10 the food was good but a very small menu, and some of the dishes came super fast six minute and was a bit cold. 5. Cleanest 10/10 this place was very, very clean. I'm going to give it that from the tables to the restrooms. I like this place and would recommend it for dates, birthday and events. However, I would say the staff to be a little bit more enthusiastic at the bartender. And take a little bit more time in serving the food and making sure that it's hot. The view is amazing Look at the pictures
